Ondergoed

Al jaren naai ik mijn eigen onderbroeken en hemden. Dat had ik uiteraard niet verwacht toen ik begon met naaien 😉 . Ik zou  nog graag een keer bh’s leren naaien.
Meestal naai ik gewoon allerlei onderbroeken uit restjes stof. Het is inmiddels een bonte verzameling. Maar dit keer naaide ik er een bijpassend hemdje bij.

For years I sew my own underwear and tops. Of course I didn’t expect that when I started sewing 😉 . I would like to learn how to sew bras. I usually sew underpants from scraps of fabric. So I have a lot of colourfull underpants. This time I used a small piece of fabric and made a matching top. 

Het hemd wilde ik volledig afwerken met Oaki Doki (tricot biaisband), maar ik had helaas niet meer genoeg. Ik gebruikte dus voor de zijkant en achterkant van het hemdje hetzelfde groene elastiek als op de onderbroek.

I wanted to use Oaki Doki (jersey biaistape), but unfortunately I didn’t have enough left. So for the side and back of the top, I used the same green elastic as on the underpants. 

Het groene elastiek en het biaisband zette ik eraan met de onderbroken zigzagsteek op de naaimachine.

I sewed the green elastic and the bias tape with the interrupted zigzag stitch on the sewing machine.

De zoom stikte ik door met de bernette coverlockmachine.

The hem of the top is stitched with the bernette coverlockmachine.
