Longsleeve

Ik ben helemaal blij met deze longsleeve voor mijn jongste zoon! Deze stof zocht hij zelf uit toen wij vorig jaar op vakantie waren in Duitsland. Ik weet niet van welk merk de stof is. Maar er waren meerdere soorten van deze serie. Allemaal ‘zoekplaten’.

Het patroon is de ADVTee van Sofilantjes.

I’m very happy with this longsleeve for my youngest son! He chose the fabric himself when we were on holiday in Germany last year. I don’t know which brand the fabric belongs to. But there were several types of this fabric.

Ik heb lang getwijfeld wat ik van de stof zou maken en hoe ik het zou knippen. En toen kwam mijn moeder met het idee om alleen een voorpand van deze ‘drukke’ stof te knippen en de rest effen te houden. En nu heb ik dus nog wat over en kan ik nog meer kledingstukken van deze stof maken.

For a long time I doubted what I would make of the fabric and how I would cut it. And then my mother came up with the idea of just cutting a front piece of this fabric and cut the other pieces of plain fabric. 

Ik koos voor kobalt blauw als kleur voor het achterpand en voor de mouwen. En dat heeft goed uitgepakt vind ik. Verder gebruikte ik drie verschillende kleuren voor het doorstikken van de zomen.

I chose cobalt blue as the color for the back and the sleeves. And that worked out well, I think. I also used three different colors for topstitching the hems.

Toen het shirt klaar was, vroeg mijn oudste zoon of het voor hem was. Maar helaas, het is voor zijn broertje. Gelukkig heb ik nog wat over en kan ik ook nog iets voor de oudste zoon naaien.

When the shirt was finished, my oldest son asked if it was for him. But unfortunately, it’s for his younger brother. Fortunately I have something left, so I can sew something for the eldest son.
